Culturally appropriate therapy for anyone with experiences of trauma, depression, anxiety, family/relationship issues, grief, loss, and challenging life transitions.
Offered in English, Arabic and Farsi.
My Approach
I believe the most important aspect of therapy is developing an environment of safety and a trusting relationship based on empathy and compassion between the therapist and client. The first step in the relationship is getting to know each other and an intake assessment to identify your goals for therapy.
I am trained in various therapeutic modalities and I integrate different approaches based on your identified needs and goals. I use a collaborative approach throughout the process to ensure your active engagement, enhanced self-awareness, and a sense of safety and empowerment in the process. I welcome your feedback at any time in the process so I can provide you with the most appropriate support and help you achieve your goals in your own way and at your own pace.
I am fluent in Arabic and Farsi and have extensive knowledge and experience in working with immigrant, refugee and racialized communities. My work addresses the challenges that come with these lived experiences and looks to create culturally appropriate and welcoming spaces.

Insurance Coverage
Most insurance providers cover services offered by a registered social worker. Please check with your insurance provider to check your coverage.
Fee Support Programs:
I am registered with Toronto Quick Victim Response Program (VQRP), Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP), and Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program. I accept third party payments through these programs for individuals who are eligible and approved for psychotherapy services provided by me.
Payment Methods:
I accept credit card and e-transfer payments and will issue you a receipt which you can submit to your insurance provider (if available) for reimbursement. You may claim psychotherapy expenses on your income tax return.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice. This ensures that the appointment spot can be used by another client. Since self-employed therapists are paid per appointment, late cancellations or no shows reduce our income. Thus most have a late cancel/no show full-fee payment policy.
Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged the full fee.
Appointments that are a no-show, will also be charged a full fee.
